Help San Antonio find out how we’re doing in the eyes of our visitors – now and over time – by being part of the Experience Dedicated® Destination (EDD) program. This research and consumer standards-based program is an important destination accreditation from The EXPERIENCE Institute®, and now it’s here.

We are proud to announce that San Antonio is the fourth city in the U.S. to become accredited to strategically measure the experience visitors have in our destination, which will help set us apart on the national stage.

Why? Because visitor spending in San Antonio is $13.4 billion each year, and it’s important that we ensure our visitors are happy and encourage them to return.

Sector Panels

Sector panels, led by co-sector leaders and supported by Visit San Antonio staff, will meet quarterly to stay up to date on progress regarding the destination's overall plan and findings from the ongoing consumer data and research.

Each sector will hold strategic conversations to help determine how they can best help meet the destination’s visitor-centric objectives. Bottom line: We’re looking for destination-wide synergy!

LOCAL GOVERNMENT/CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS (e.g., districts, wayfinding, parking, etc.)

TRANSPORTATION (e.g., airport, taxi, shuttle, etc.)

ATTRACTIONS/ACTIVTIES (e.g., museum, entertainment, shopping, etc.)

Here’s How You Can Be Involved In This Exciting Journey

STEP ONE:  Complete the ‘Count Us In’ form below to sign on to be part of this important program, which will help our city obtain valuable year-over-year visitor satisfaction data from which we can collectively take action on ‘Things That Matter’ to visitors.

STEP TWO:  Ongoing Commitment to Strengthening Tourism for Our Destination
By signing on, here’s how your business/entity will participate:

  1. Encourage Visitors to Take the Mobile Surveys –, starting April 2016.  Signage, website ‘buttons’ and more will be provided to you and your team.
  2. Respond to Quarterly Customer Growth Surveys (anonymous, blind survey asks two questions – Are your Number of Customers and your Customer Sales up, down or the same over the same month a year prior).  Four times a year, this information helps the destination gain visitor-spending indicators beyond ‘heads in beds’ metrics and gives businesses valuable knowledge, by Sector, they can’t gain on their own.
  3. Complete Annual Insight Survey; a 6-minute survey that gives us your insight on what you’re hearing from visitors relative to their overall experience, destination brand, etc.
  4. Link to Visit San Antonio Website on Your Website: Include a link on your website to the Visit San Antonio website to help visitors see the great things our destination offers:
  5. Maintain accurate, timely information on your website; to give visitors the info they need to plan their stay and, hopefully, do more things while they’re here!

Benefits to Your Business:  This ongoing capture of visitor input means your business can gain validated, third-party data and marketing "intel" you can't get on your own. You'll learn how lodging, restaurants, local government/civic organizations, transportation, attractions and facilities are doing overall, where there is growth, trends in recommend intentions and repeat visitors and overall visitor satisfaction, as well as areas where we need improvement.
