SACVB Annual Meeting rolls out 2014

Dear Partners,
Thank you to those who were able to attend our 2013 Annual Meeting – what a wonderful turnout with over 400 people – it was a great opportunity to catch up with you and share what we have in the pipeline for 2014.
Congratulations to Marty Wender and Johnny Hernandez for winning the 2013 Robert H.H. Hugman and Con Corazon awards! We are so proud of them and all the winners in our hospitality community.

Hugman Award, poses with wife, Rene (L), Marise McDermott, Casandra Matej and Dan Decker at the SACVB Annual Meeting.   Chef Johnny Hernandez (C), recipient of the 2013 Con Corazon Award, poses with family and friends minutes after receiving the award at the SACVB Annual Meeting.

For those who weren’t able to make it, we wanted to make sure to highlight the Annual Report which went online that afternoon – this includes our Co-Op Opportunities & Travel Calendar filled with tradeshows and customer events. Speaking of, our annual Tamale Lift is coming right up at the beginning of December and you won't want to miss out. So, please go online, register and join us in our efforts! We have also included the information and research from our special guest speaker, president and CEO of the U.S. Travel Association, Roger Dow’s presentation under the Resources and Reports section of our new Partner Website – make sure you sign up for your password today!

On our new Partner Website, you’ll also find a new section called How to Partner With Us - which lists multiple opportunities to join forces – from the Certified Tourism Ambassador Program, to advertising, and getting involved with consumer initiatives, to hosting – and more. All things SACVB Partners is now all in one place!
Finally, mark your calendar for National Travel & Tourism Week, May 3-11, 2014, another great opportunity to honor our front-line employees and communicate citywide the far-reaching and positive impact of our industry.
In The Heart –
Casandra Matej
