Visit San Antonio: Communications, March 2019

February kicked off with positive media exposure in top national and international outlets, which you can find detailed in the coverage section of our report you surely don’t want to miss.

The month continued with a very productive media mission to New York, where we met with top national media including Bon Appetit, Town & Country and The Monocle as well as prolific freelance writers with whom we will be working later this year to produce more coverage of San Antonio.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, our team worked with Univision and the City of San Antonio on a pair of all-morning broadcasts by the morning show Despierta America. This show regularly has higher ratings in key markets than the popular English-language morning shows such as Today and Good Morning America. The media value for these broadcasts is tremendous and still being calculated – check back next month for the final tally.

February also brought the opening of two of our key cultural venues’ new exhibits. The San Antonio Zoo unveiled their new safari area that returns the rhinos to a more natural environment. Over at The Doseum, a seasonal exhibit “How People Make Things” is a fabulous hands-on showcase for kids and kids-at-heart. If you haven’t had a chance to experience them, do so soon!
