Part of our strategy for this fiscal year has been to go after more national and international television opportunities to showcase our diverse offerings. The strategy has paid off handsomely with multiple hits across various networks. In February, CNN showcased San Antonio in its “Wander Musts” reporting series. The story showcased Market Square, the River Walk, the Alamo, Ray’s Drive Inn, North Star Mall and The Saga with two airings.

One of the additional areas of focus in the last few years has been telling the story of our destination’s growing and evolving food scene. While continuing to highlight the traditional Tex-Mex and Mexican cuisine we are known for, we’ve also focused on the diverse new styles of restaurants that are opening across the city. This month, Forbes produced a great story showcasing some of these interesting food options in San Antonio resulting from a recent visit hosted by Visit San Antonio.
